Hogback Ridge Park is a hidden gem in eastern Delaware County. Situated along Hogback Road in Brown Twp. near the charming community of Kilbourne at the north end of Alum Creek Reservoir, its location affords visitors a scenic drive through rural Delaware County.
Tucked between the waters and woodlands of Hoover Reservoir to the east and the Ohio to Erie Trail to the west, Char-Mar Ridge Park offers impressive scenic views and ample opportunity for wildlife observation and recreation.
Gallant Woods Park opened to its first visitors in 2005—the same year the first person to fly an airplane non-stop around the world solo without refueling and a group of college students launched YouTube.
The history of Shale Hollow Park began in 2004 when Preservation Parks received funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA).
In 2006, Phyllis A. Havener gifted a generous donation of 190 acres to Liberty Township and Preservation Parks.
