Are you looking for free resources to help you share a specific nature topic with your classroom, scouts, or other community group? Borrow Bins are full of educational materials including feathers, furs, skulls, toys, leveled books, and games based on the theme of the bin. You’ll also find a USB with a welcome video and curriculum ideas. Fill out the form to reserve one today. 

Every summer we celebrate our yearly educational theme by creating an interactive exhibit open to park visitors from Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day weekend. Previous exhibits include Climate Connection, World of Water, Adventures in Flight, and Into the Ice Age.

Volunteers are essential to our mission to protect our natural and historic resources and inspire outdoor exploration and learning. The park district offers diverse, fun, and educational volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, community groups, student projects, scout groups, school groups, and more.
