About the Conservation Collaborative of Central Ohio
The Conservation Collaborative of Central Ohio is an AmeriCorps service program that connects AmeriCorps Volunteers with conservation organizations across Central Ohio. The program focuses on natural resource conservation, environmental education, and community engagement while providing volunteers with hands-on experience and professional development opportunities in the environmental field.
Preservation Parks Conservation Steward Position
Preservation Parks of Delaware County hosts three AmeriCorps Conservation Stewards through the collaborative.
AmeriCorps Conservation Stewards serve alongside the Natural Resources team on conservation and restoration projects throughout the park district.
Position Highlights
Invasive species management
Habitat restoration of new park land
Native tree plantings
Stewardship of prairies, wetlands, and forested park areas
Volunteer events and community outreach
