On the outskirts of Ostrander in Scioto Township, along Fontanelle Road, sat a piece of property just waiting to be transformed into a park for people of all ages to enjoy and for wildlife to thrive.
Hogback Ridge Park is a hidden gem in eastern Delaware County. Situated along Hogback Road in Brown Twp. near the charming community of Kilbourne at the north end of Alum Creek Reservoir, its location affords visitors a scenic drive through rural Delaware County.
Gallant Woods Park opened to its first visitors in 2005—the same year the first person to fly an airplane non-stop around the world solo without refueling and a group of college students launched YouTube.
The history of Shale Hollow Park began in 2004 when Preservation Parks received funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA).
